Thames Festival

Posted in London by folkestonejack on September 10, 2011

The Thames Festival took place this weekend and we took a leisurely walk from London Bridge to Battersea Park taking in the sights. One highlight was a river parade of over 100 boats of every kind from tugs to canal boats (which I gather was also serving as a test ahead of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee River Pageant). I caught sight of this opposite Battersea Power Station and it certainly made an unusual spectacle on the Thames.
