I have a terrible habit of gathering leaflets, newspaper cuttings and other scraps listing the places I would like to visit someday – and then promptly losing them. It has taken me over a decade to twig that the safest place to hold that list is on my blog! Some places are not going to be possible anytime soon given the effects of war and disaster so this is very much a list for a lifetime.

Over the years I have been very lucky in having the opportunity to travel to some amazing places, many of which I would never even have considered a decade or two back. There is no way that I will make it to every place on the list, especially as it will never stop growing, but it’s something to aim for!
